Citizens Advice Staffordshire North and Stoke-on-Trent (CASNS) are offering free fraud awareness sessions to community groups across the Staffordshire Moorlands. They’re particularly keen to deliver sessions to individuals that are more vulnerable to fraud, including those who are isolated or experiencing loneliness.
As part of this project, members of our Biddulph Brew Club will participate in a fraud awareness training session on 28th January 2026.
Aims of Session
This training session provided by Citizens Advice aims to:
- Raise awareness of the common types of fraud
- Help members to spot the signs of fraud
- Share fraud prevention tips and advice
- Share information about how to report fraud
- Raise awareness of the support available for victims of fraud
- Share useful resources
Additional Support
A Citizens Advice Project Officer is also able to provide help to victims with reporting instances of fraud to the relevant authorities and accessing specialist support to help them cope with and recover from the impacts of fraud.
